Saw this exactly one year ago today. Appropriately enough, it was the day my future, my fate, and my world were adjusted like never before. It was my first date with Maggie.
I still remember some of the curses I mumbled as I drove to Makati because I hate Makati. But I had to pick her up.
I still remember the first time I saw her along Valero. Angels sang and everything was in slow motion, that kind of thing. It was the moment I stopped hating Makati a bit.
Well, not really. Some of my plurks were total lies. Some of them were half truths. Some were parodies of some plurkers. Some, satirical jabs at people who live in ivory Plurk towers. Hey, I already plurked them for you. You sort them out.
#1. Totally depressed last night. A few steps from being suicidal. So I paid someone to have sex with me.
#2. I accidentally ran over a kitten this morning. :( And a puppy. And a frog. And a rat. And a blind homeless guy.

#6. Since it’s the first of the month, it’s just appropriate to make big changes in my life. I shall now quit smoking. This time, it’s FOREVER!
#7. I only listen to the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix and new totally obscure bands. Because I’m better than you.
In the past few weeks, I have been on the hunt for a new job. It was an enlightening experience, really. I got to use a lot of the stuff I’ve been writing about in Bum No More. I got the chance to look back into my professional career (all two years of it!) and build a fairly attractive resume with surprisingly little padding. I also realized that I have several sets of skills that I can use to market myself, much like a young hooker after her first night of debauchery.
The skill I really want to develop right now is creative/content writing. It’s my passion ever since I discovered I suck at music and art. Writing is where I least suck, so what I really want to improve on is being a wordsmith. Drastically.
Potential Employer #1: Please write something about Makati.

Today just plain sucks. Normally, I wouldn’t rant about a sucky day on this blog. I wouldn’t even let it bother me for more than a couple of hours. Whenever I get that feeling of extra suckiness, a couple of LOLcat images is usually all it takes to tame Baddie’s Inner Beast of Anger. But today’s different. Today is just full of sucktitude.
