7 Magnificent Moments in the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

My current TV watching habits are limited to news programs and Discovery Travel & Living, which is now known as TLC. So forgive me if I don’t care much about most of the results of the recently concluded Primetime Emmy Awards. However, I did find some moments of the show very amusing.

Born to ROCK.

That opening skit was definitely the highlight of the show. You got Fallon, Fey, Lynch, Hamm, the Glee kids, that chick from the Vampire Diaries and Hurley singing and dancing and letting everyone know that it’s not going to be the same old dull awards show from years past. It just set the tone for the rest of the night. Well, at least for the entire Comedy section of the awards.

Are You the Catalyst to My Awakening?

It’s been a couple of weeks since Lost ended but I’m still not over it. I didn’t even enjoy seasons 3 and 4 of Lost, but those awakening scenes in the finale, where characters in Limbo started remembering their crazy time on The Island, well it just melted my face. The catalysts to their awakenings are people and events that are significant to them emotionally. It was beautiful to watch and I may have shed a tear or two. It got me thinking; what if I’m in Limbo? Who or what would trigger my flashbacks? Who or what would cause me to remember my life on Earth and eventually convince my heart and soul that I should finally let go and move on?

Obviously, family members are the prime suspects for all of us to remember some of the most significant events of our lives. It’s a given so I’m not going to discuss this possibility. Because it’s boring.

Is it you, First Girl I’ve Ever Fallen in Love With? We had a tragic love affair, didn’t we? Oh to be young and stupid.

I Want a Lost Island

So I was watching the 2-hour finale of Lost’s 4th season over the weekend, right? I don’t want to spoil anything, but watching it made me realize that there’s one thing missing in my life right now, and that’s an island that can defy the Laws of Physics!

I want one. I need one. And not just the island. I want to have everything in it. Lush green jungles, beautiful landscapes, time machines, black smoke monsters, polar bears, and Evangeline Lilly. I have got to get me a Lost island ASAP. But how? The money I’m making right now will probably only get me three cans of Dharma Initiative organic diced tomatoes.

I need some sort of financial help. Maybe a cash advance loan or something. That and selling my body to the highest bidder might do the trick. Yeah, that’s it. I am so bright.

What if “So Fetch!” Happened?

mean girls week

Gretchen: That is so fetch!
Regina: Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen! It’s not going to happen!

Gretchen, Regina’s right hand bitch, tried to make “So fetch!” happen. She really did. But alas, it did not. Queen bee Regina’s antagonism didn’t help. But what if it did happen? This being Mean Girls Week, I feel that it’s my duty as a responsible blogger to ask and explore the question “What if So fetch! happened?”
