One night, three movies. I was bored.
Push is like a really nice episode of Heroes. It may be a tad confusing for ordinary fucking people, but for comic book people like me, I got the entire “We were born with special abilities and now we must survive in a world of ordinary fucking people” schtick even before the first scene was done. Yes, I appreciated it, but not entirely. Even comic book people can be confused by shaky plots. Maybe the presence of Camilla Belle made the whole thing go down a whole lot easier that it could have.

Just like last year, I’m sharing the love this Valentine’s Week, February 9th-14th. But unlike last year, I’ll ditch the poems and go with one liners and pickup lines instead. Feel free to forward these “BaddiE-CARDS” to your loved ones. You’re welcome. And remember, this isn’t just about public service. This is all about love. Because goddammit, Baddie loves you.

Gretchen: That is so fetch!
Regina: Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen! It’s not going to happen!
Gretchen, Regina’s right hand bitch, tried to make “So fetch!” happen. She really did. But alas, it did not. Queen bee Regina’s antagonism didn’t help. But what if it did happen? It’s the last day of DVD Week and I’ve decided to make it special. So far, I’ve featured movies on DVD. It’s time to unleash the first TV show on this stupid blog series. Ladies and gents, Heroes Season 1!

The 7-issue mini-series isn’t the most interesting thing about Marvel’s Civil War event. I think what happens after Civil War will be more entertaining and interesting than the event itself. The whole Marvel landscape will be radically changed, and the status quo will be a world of uncertainty, just the way I like it.
With Marvel’s May solicitations, I find myself impatiently craving for the arrival of the post-war stories. Heroes will mourn one of their own after the events of next week’s Civil War finale. New heroes will enter the neverending battle through the 50-state Initiative. A new Fantastic Four will come in the form of the Thing, the Human Torch, Storm, and the Black Panther. The Hulk will finally be on his journey towards home, presumably to kick everyone’s ass. Two Avengers teams kick it to high gear. Nova, after the events of Annihilation, will come back home to a completely changed world. Plus a whole lot more. And that’s just for May. It’s going to be a good time to be a Marvel fan after Civil War.
