Are You the Catalyst to My Awakening?

It’s been a couple of weeks since Lost ended but I’m still not over it. I didn’t even enjoy seasons 3 and 4 of Lost, but those awakening scenes in the finale, where characters in Limbo started remembering their crazy time on The Island, well it just melted my face. The catalysts to their awakenings are people and events that are significant to them emotionally. It was beautiful to watch and I may have shed a tear or two. It got me thinking; what if I’m in Limbo? Who or what would trigger my flashbacks? Who or what would cause me to remember my life on Earth and eventually convince my heart and soul that I should finally let go and move on?

Obviously, family members are the prime suspects for all of us to remember some of the most significant events of our lives. It’s a given so I’m not going to discuss this possibility. Because it’s boring.

Is it you, First Girl I’ve Ever Fallen in Love With? We had a tragic love affair, didn’t we? Oh to be young and stupid.

Stubby Movie Reviews: Push, Valkyrie and Zack & Miri Make a Porno

This entry is part 6 of 12 in the series Stubby Movie Reviews

Push Valkyrie Zack & Miri Make a Porno

One night, three movies. I was bored.

Push is like a really nice episode of Heroes. It may be a tad confusing for ordinary fucking people, but for comic book people like me, I got the entire “We were born with special abilities and now we must survive in a world of ordinary fucking people” schtick even before the first scene was done. Yes, I appreciated it, but not entirely. Even comic book people can be confused by shaky plots. Maybe the presence of Camilla Belle made the whole thing go down a whole lot easier that it could have.

Things I Think About While Swimming in Our Pool

I’ve been swimming regularly in our pool for about half a year now and I’m getting a lot of benefits from it. First, it’s an awesome way to beat the heat. It’s also a nice way to work out, especially since I’m fat and too lazy to go to the gym or run or bike or do sit-ups. Helps my lung strength too (I really should stop smoking). The best benefit I get from swimming in our pool is I get to be alone. I get the chance to meditate about my life. You know, important stuff. And now, I’d like to share these things to you in a piece I’d like to call…

First of which is “FUNNY CATS”

My Two-Item Christmas Wish List

I don’t usually make a Christmas wish list, or any other kind of wish list for that matter, but for the sake of giving you guys an idea of what I want for Christmas this year (I better be in your Christmas list, you cheapskates!), I’m letting you know two things that I would really love to have by the end of 2007. Hey, stop whining. It’s either a wish list blog entry or The ANNOTATED Secret History of the Grand Order of FAIL.

The first thing I want for Christmas is an iPod.

ralph wiggum ipod

No, I’m not a consumer sheep. I hated the buzz it got when it was first released, and I frown every time I hear about a new iPod iteration. Also, I get the urge to punch the nearest balls I could find whenever I see someone wearing white earphones. But, yeah. I think it’s time for me to succumb. Plus, I really want to carry around as many Porkchop Duo recordings as possible.
