Funko has teamed up with Marvel to launch a geek subscription box service called Marvel Collector Corps. Basically, it’s Loot Crate done Marvel style!

Carnage wants YOU

Funko, Marvel, and Carnage want YOU for the Collector Corps!

Each box includes exclusive Marvel collectibles, apparel, and accessories. These items will be from all parts of the Marvel Universe from the comics to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And speaking of the MCU, the first “exclusive” in the service is the 6″ Iron Man Hulkbuster Funko Pop! vinyl figure from Avengers: Age of Ultron. I say “exclusive” because it’s only exclusive to the US. The Hulkbuster Pop! will be widely available in other territories such as Asia.

The debut box which will be sent in April 2015 before the release of Avengers 2 will also include a t-shirt, 2 premium accessories, and an additional vinyl figure — probably another Avengers-related one because AVENGERS 2. The next box’s theme is Ant-Man and it will drop June 2015. Marvel Collector Corps boxes will be sent every 2 months with each box costing $25 with an estimated value of $50.

The service offers 2 user levels: Collector and Founder. The basic Collector subscription can be cancelled at any time while the Founder level requires you to subscribe for an entire year, so you’ll be committing to 6 boxes. The upside to this extended commitment is you’ll get an exclusive figure every year on your subscription anniversary.

So are you subscribing to this mighty Marvel subscription service by Funko? Me, I’ll try it out for a month or 2 and see how it goes, because $25 every 2 months for Marvel loot ain’t that bad. Also, the box looks pretty.
