My iPod Touch, Molesto, is one of those old iOS devices that only supports firmware up to 3.1.3. This is why I can’t install some of the newer apps. That doesn’t mean I don’t have a bunch of iPod Touch apps that I absolutely love. I install and uninstall apps like it’s my job or something, but there are a few of them that I hold on to because they’re amusing and actually really helpful. My top 10 essential iPod Touch apps, let me show you them.
Momento – Bros, I love documenting my life. I know nothing really interesting happens to me on a daily basis, but still. I like to keep things documented. That’s why I spent a few years keeping a mini-diary using a small planner and later on, blogs. I even did my own Project 365 last year. Now, I document my online activities like Twitter posts, Facebook updates, Flickr uploads and Tumblr blog entries using Momento. It’s like having someone keep tabs on your online shenanigans and curating them in one nifty iPhone app.

Since this is the first blog entry I’ll be posting via my new laptop, I think it’s just appropriate that I make this all about her. And when I say “her”, I mean the laptop. Her name is Luna, named after that trippy Harry Potter character, Luna Lovegood. I just finished a Harry Potter movie marathon when I bought her! Don’t judge me!

After months of saving up for my very own laptop, I finally bought one last Monday, and so far, she’s been a darling. I finally got around to install a wireless router too because really, a laptop is probably 80% useless without Internet connection.

It’s been a little over two weeks since Google unleashed their very own browser, the shiny Chrome. Like all new browsers or new versions of existing browsers, I downloaded it to take it for a spin. Unlike with the other browsers, though, I stuck with it after a couple of days.
It may have had a major hype within hours after its release, but most of it was justified. A home page that’s pretty handy. The Omni Bar that’s so simple but extremely helpful. Brilliant tab abilities. Built-in Google Gears functionality. Heck, even the logo had its own buzz. It’s all nifty.
But with all the awesome things about Chrome, I just can’t find myself completely switching to it from Mozilla Firefox. One word: ADD-ONS.

To whom it may concern (and I’m guessing there’s a lot of you),
I would like to apologize for my lack of prompt replies to your text messages. You probably think I’m a snob, which is a pretty girly thing to say, but I’m not. Well, I probably am, but not intentionally. You probably think that I don’t consider your messages important enough to warrant my precious time and attention. The lateness of my replies, if I ever do send replies, can be attributed to only one thing, and one thing alone: I HATE MOBILE PHONES.
OK, that’s too strong. Let me rephrase that: I’m not fond of always checking my mobile phone especially when I’m at home. Some of you may find this strange, maybe even retarded, but what are you gonna do? I hate checking my phone for new messages. I even hate hearing it ring or beep, that’s why I always keep it in “Meeting” mode. It’s actually more discreet than “Silent” mode in its default settings. Anyway, yeah. Don’t expect an immediate answer if you’re going to call me. Don’t think I’m blowing you off. I’m not. And don’t think I’m only doing it to you. I do it to everybody.

Let’s face it. We live in a world where child molesters are in every corner. They’re in the playgrounds. They’re in the schools. They’re in the churches. They’re in our homes. They’re on the Internet, Facebooking and MySpacing your sweet, innocent, adorable little angels. And let’s not get started with serial killers and people who are itching to sell your children’s kidney in the black market for avant garde culinary douchebags to turn into Chinese soup.
We need to be mindful of our children’s whereabouts at all times, by any means necessary. Question is, are we really willing to go through these means? Would you go through any length to protect your child? Would you go as far as putting a GPS tracking device on your precious sons and daughters?
I would.
