X-Men: Schism is over and the mutants have chosen sides. Now the X-Men are back in school as X-Men: Regenesis kicks into high gear with Wolverine and the X-Men #1. The most endearing thing about the X-Men is the element of mutant teenagers going to mutant school to learn about stuff but mostly to fight off whoever’s attacking the school on a regular basis. For a few years we were stuck reading about an island full of mutants but now the X-Men are back in Westchester and this time, things are a little different. Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters is no more. Welcome to the brand new Jean Grey School for Higher Learning!

I keep missing out on Comicx Hub‘s special promos and warehouse events and I think it’s time I get a piece of that action. I’m planning to not miss the country’s largest online shopping website for comics, toys and collectibles’ first ever signing event featuring two of the country’s most well known comic book artists, Mico Suayan and Gerry Alanguilan.

Before you laugh at me, let’s be clear about this being just a theoretical question. We all know that zombies are not going to overrun the planet and that the world will actually end when the robots take over. So let’s just pretend that zombies are indeed going to show up to end the world as we know it. That being said, imagine yourself running around, looking for a safe haven in a world gone mad. You suddenly find yourself in a sticky situation and BAM! You’re bitten by a zombie. You manage to escape but the fact still remains — it’s only a matter of time before you turn into one of the living dead. What would you do?

Almost 2 years ago (I think), I met a bunch of mofos from the Internet. Next thing I knew, I was single-handedly cheering them on during their very first gig as The Strangeness. And by “cheering them on” I mean “screaming YOU SUCK! at them to hurt their feelings for no apparent reason whatsoever”. And now, not shockingly because they’re awesome, they’re about to launch their first ever EP called “Jesus Camp”.
The launch party is tomorrow, October 14th, at Route 196 in Katipunan. Drop by if you want to experience total eargasm. Or if you just want to heckle The Strangeness. I know I will.

The trailer for The Avengers — the only movie coming out in 2012 as far as I’m concerned — has been unleashed and the Internet has exploded! Even if the trailer contains a lot of scenes we’ve already seen via official promo images or crappy unofficial photos, the fact that it’s the trailer for the biggest Marvel movie so far is enough to give people a multiple-hour fangasm. If you haven’t seen it yet, what’s wrong with you?
And now, here are the scenes from the trailer that caught my attention:

These army boys look like they’re shooting at either something that’s flying (a Skrull ship, maybe?) or something that’s really huge. Judging from the lasers in the latter part of the trailer, it’s probably a ship.
