Full X-Men: Regenesis Teasers Revealed

X-Men: Regenesis Teasers Revealed

I used the full extent of my X-Men knowledge and deductive prowess to identify the shadows in the X-Men: Regenesis teasers. Now that all the shadows have been eliminated, let’s break down who’s on whose side of the fence after X-Men: Schism. Let’s also see which of my educated guesses were right and which of them were absolutely wrong. Let’s start with Team Cyclops.

X-Men: Regenesis - Generation Hope #13 Revealed

Generation Hope #13by James Asmus and Ibraim Roberson

I nailed this one. Because the only surprise character here is Sebastian Shaw and he was the first one to be revealed. So we have Shaw, Hope, Zero, Velocidad, Primal and Transonic. I was right about Oya not being here and we’ll talk about her later.

X-Men: Regenesis - X-Men #20 Revealed

This is where things get juicy. Warpath is back and so is Domino. Quite a surprise because if you’ve read the first X-Force-as-a-mutant-death-squad book, you know that they’re both tight with Wolverine. In Domino’s case, having-casual-sex tight. As for Psylocke, I thought she was Magik or Pixie. More on Betsy later. And let’s not forget Storm. I didn’t even notice her shadow in the initial teaser. Adding Jubilee into the mix and a pattern is revealed — all of these characters could very well be on Team Wolverine because of their X-Force shenanigans (Warpath, Domino and Psylocke) or their deep friendship with the berserker (Jubilee and Storm). Interesting, eh?

X-Men: Regenesis - Uncanny X-Men #1 Revealed

This one is no longer a surprise if you’ve already seen the leaked Uncanny X-Men #1 cover. I pretty much nailed it in my initial guess except for Danger who I thought was Namor. And again, I’m very happy that Cyclops is indeed going to survive Schism.

X-Men: Regenesis - New Mutants #33 Revealed

This image was also easy to pick apart. It’s pretty easy to spot Dani Moonstar, Cypher, Warlock and Sunspot here. Of course, X-Man was a given. I only had doubts about the person flying in the background. I was right about my hunch that it’s Magma and not Cannonball. She actually does fly. Huh. And now we move on to Team Wolverine.

X-Men: Regenesis - Uncanny X-Force #19 Revealed

Joining Nightcrawler from the Age of Apocalypse timeline are Fantomex and Deadpool who shouldn’t have been blacked out in the first place because they were pretty obvious choices. Also, we have Psylocke — again. She’s the only person who’s in both X-Men factions and that makes her the most interesting character in these teasers. Also, the hottest.

X-Men: Regenesis - Wolverine and the X-Men #1 Revealed

I called it. Iceman and Kid Omega are in this teaser. I also called Kitty Pryde and Lockheed because I thought I saw the little dragon’s foot. I was right about those two being on Wolverine’s side but that foot actually belongs to Beast, which is a pleasant surprise. I totally missed Toad over there, right between Quentin Quire’s legs. Ew. Finally, I was wrong about the Phoenix-y chick in the back. It’s not Rachel Summers. It’s Oya from Generation Hope! In a way, I’m still right about Rachel, though. BEHOLD:

X-Men: Regenesis - X-Men: Legacy #259 Revealed

BAM! The shadow that stumped me is actually Rachel Summers. Her weird coat thing threw me off. I also missed Frenzy in my guessing game. Gambit and Rogue round out the cast in this teaser.

X-Men: Regenesis - X-Factor #230 Revealed

X-Factor #230by Peter David and Emanuela Lupacchino

Finally, we have the X-Factor crew. We have Rictor, Shatterstar, Havok, Polaris, Monet, Layla, Madrox, Longshot, Banshee, Wolfsbane and Strong Guy. It’s just the current roster plus Havok and Polaris. This is actually the most exciting teaser for me because I want to see how the group dynamics change once Lorna and Alex (re)join X-Factor. Also, we were promised that someone’s going to die and that someone could have been included in this teaser to screw with our heads.

Now that we have an overview of how the mutants will choose sides, I am pumped to see how it all goes down. I am particularly interested in the people in the X-Men #20 teaser. Are they a spy team for Wolverine on Utopia or are they just a group of people who do not want to choose a side? Also, where is Charles Xavier? dun dun DUNNNN
