Cervical cancer is a bitch. The best way to slap that bitch in the face is through information. Whether you’re a chick or a dude, cervical cancer can ruin your life if you are not well-informed. All of us, chicks and dudes alike, need to arm ourselves with the Mighty Gauntlet of Cervical Cancer Awareness to protect our way of life from this bitch.

The Tour of Hope 2011, headed by Bravehearts, aims to spread awareness about cervical cancer by having bad-ass bikers ride through 500 kilometers in 5 days. The journey begins in Manila and ends in Laoag. Throughout the 5-day ride, Bravehearts and the participating bikers aim to raise funds for cervical cancer prevention vaccination drives and seminars.

This bitch slap to cervical cancer’s face involves more than just cycling. During stopovers, the group will also conduct lectures and vaccinations. The lectures are aimed especially at areas where there is poor health-seeking behavior. Around 500 women will receive vaccinations during this 5-day journey. That’s 500 women saved from the evil clutches of cervical cancer and its diabolical minions: Mr. Unusual Bleeding from the Vagina, Capt. Pain During Sex and Dr. Death McDeath.

If you’re a lady, please look up information about cervical cancer, how you can prevent it, how you can detect it and how you can treat it. If you’re a gentleman, lead the women in your life towards awareness about this issue. Do it before you ask them to make you a sandwich. I’m kidding about that last part.
If you can’t be a part of The Tour of Hope 2011, you can still support the cause by simply spreading awareness about cervical cancer. Tweet about it. Make word art about it and then post it on Tumblr. Share a video about it on Facebook. Whatever. Just do it. Let me help you get started by sharing the video below. Stay safe and slap that cervical cancer bitch in the face!
