Yes, I followed the first season of Privileged. Yes, that Privileged. Let me explain.
I wanted to watch Gossip Girl because everybody was, and still is, talking about it. I heard the show has some pretty hot rich chicks, and if there’s one thing I like more than people getting hit in the face with stuff, it’s hot rich chicks. There was one problem, though. I hate jumping into a show in mid season. My prime objective was to see hot rich chicks gossip about each other, yes but I also want to get into the story so I can get the most out of the experience. So Gossip Girl was out, and the new CW show also featuring hot rich chicks called “Privileged” was in.
With the first few episodes, it was all about ogling the Baker twins played by Ashley Newbrough and Lucy Kate Hale, who I first crushed on in Bionic Woman. By mid season, I was already engrossed in the show’s shallow yet strangely addicting plots. The show’s humor is just cute, but there were several times that it caught me off guard and made me LOL.
By season’s end, I was already a fan. It’s not as dumb as people might think, but it’s not Emmy stuff either. Sometimes, you just have to wallow in shallow-ish family drama and sorta hilarious relationship roller coaster rides involving extremely privileged people and college dropouts who totally need payday loans, right?
You may grow tired of JoAnna Garcia‘s lead character before the first episode ends, but the rest of the cast, like the previously mentioned Baker twins and their cold and calculating grandmother (played by the elegant Anne Archer) will probably keep you hooked ’til the end of the season.
Can’t wait for the show to come out of hiatus. SHUT UP.

I like this show, too! :) You're right – shallow BUT entertaining.
God I love this show. Haha it's like when I talk about Privileged people are like Privi-what? GOSSIP GIRL FTW. And I go, oh hell nah get outta here. Haha just kidding.
But yeah, I really truly love Privileged and I hope it gets renewed for another season. I'm sure the production's like crossing every limb in their body so that the show comes back. Megan is SO tiring sometimes, but it's the twins and the hot guys which keep me going also Dave Franco's recurring character. Anything Franco always lures me in hahaha.
You didn't mention the boys Baddie! They're HOT! Hehehe! :)
Yeah I hate the lead character but I like everyone else.
Can't wait for this weekend to be over, my exams, so we can finnally get together for the slumber-privileged night

This post made me sit and stare for a minute… and realized that you can see the reality versions of these shows every week..
go to any "upscale" (with VIP / bottle service) area of depraved debauchery (well now I just sound jaded). and you'll find all the philippines version of these girls…
I mean don't get me wrong… I have fed into them in the past and it was fun even though fleeting.
