We all feel the urge to find out things about other people every now and then. Whether you’re a single and lonely person trying to re-establish connections with old friends or you’re a member of your company’s human resources department trying to see if a job applicant is actually a child molester, you will almost certainly rely on the Internet to give you the information you need. The problem is, the Internet is a black hole of information about people. You will need a reliable tool to navigate it, something that doesn’t entirely depend on search algorithms.
Enter: Spock.com - the best for people search.

The best way to describe Spock is to say that it is a search engine enhanced by human input. See, Spock is a search engine that organizes web content about people and presents this data in a simple manner. Some of the sources of this information include social networking sites, blogs, and web site directories.
“But Baddie, that’s what search engines do. What’s so special about Spock?” you ask. Well, young padawan, Spock being a robust search engine is just half of the story. The other half is the Spock community.
People can sign up for an account, which lets them contribute information to enhance and improve the search experience. As registered members, people can add tags, pictures, and web links to existing information. Or they can just vote on this information to increase its relevance. That’s a two-hit combo right there.
I signed up and I saved three people to get updates on the changes made on the information about them. I saved Kate Bosworth, Vanessa Minillo, and George W. Bush. Now, every time someone adds information about these three, I’ll know. Someone adds a new fan site for Kate? BAM! I know. Someone adds sexy pictures to Vanessa’s information? BAM! I’m all over it. Someone tags George W. with “miserable failure” and “idiot”? BAM! I’m laughing like a mad scientist.
Useful tool with entertainment value. You just got to love that.
