FebFair 2008: Beer Tastes Better in UPLB

febfair 2008

It was that time of the year again. It was time for UPLB Alumni to leave all their woes in the big city and go through Friday traffic en route to that small magical town at the foot of a mystical mountain. It was time for us to come home to the grass and the stars. It was the last night of UPLB FebFair 2008. And it was glorious.

I had my doubts, though. I was thinking “Fuck, I’m old. And I’m gonna feel much older when I go back. It’s going to take a miracle for me to enjoy the hell out of this night. Huhu.” But I was wrong. Nostalgia aside, going back to UPLB still feels like coming back home. Beer tastes better. Time is immaterial. The grass is green and the girls are pretty. Dammit, it’s Paradise City.

But what really makes it feel like coming back home are my brothers and sisters from another mother. UPLB MASS. I love those mofos. F’realz. Now, before I get too sentimental, let me show you some photos. We all know a picture is worth a thousand words, but a photo taken in UPLB is worth millions. OK, maybe just hundreds of thousands. Or tens of thousands. Whatever.

This is UPLB MASS having some drinking competition fun:

Seriously, Jamm is one of the most outstanding brothers I’ve ever met. We love you, brotha! And I love you all, MASS mofos! Let’s get wasted again soon! Like, tomorrow!

priceless. i hate myself for missing diliman’s centennial fair naman. i’ve always wondered how the fairs are like at LB. i guess this gives me an idea that girls there are as hardcore too. hehe.

@Joiz: You weren't there?! Oh man! You missed one night of your life!

@Iris: Fairs in LB involve more alcohol, I could imagine. Because really, you Diliman guys get all the cool bands. In exchange, we LB folk get booze and nostalgia. That's pretty fair, I'd say. Heh.
