There’s absolutely no connection between PLDT MyDSL and Face Rockery whatsoever. Well, except for this post. Now that we’re finished with the lamest blog post introduction in the history of lame blog post introductions, let’s start with the agenda at hand, shall we? First up, PLDT MyDSL.
PLDT MyDSL. *sigh* What can I say? More like PLDT MyDissatisfaction! Harhar! Seriously, we’ve had a few bumps in our connection before, but lately, it’s becoming ridiculous. I swore on my dead fish’s body that I wouldn’t add to the deafening online PLDT MyDSL Sucks! uproar extravaganza. Besides, saying “PLDT MyDSL sucks!” is sooo last year. But sometimes, a dude just has to let all his frustrations out.
In recent weeks, I’ve been experiencing more and more downtimes. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on, but I often get disconnected every few minutes. Sometimes it slows down gradually to a halt, and sometimes it gets cut off faster than you can say “WTF?!” About an hour ago, I just had it. See, I didn’t go to work today because I’m sick. Watched a few episodes of Smallville Season 5 before I decided to do some exercise. And by “exercise” I mean “typing inappropriate words in online forums and posting inane updates on Twitter“.
What did PLDT give a sick man when he turned on his PC? 30 frakkin’ minutes of “Verifying user name and password…” timeouts, that’s what! Shame on PLDT for pissing off an innocent sick man who just wants to see if someone poked him on Facebook. But enough of that. Time for the other half of the title.
After 5 weeks of experimenting on Face Rockery, I’ve reached the conclusion that I can do the “I’d totally go nerd on your ass 5x a week!” gig. And to bring it up a notch, I’ve come up with a schedule. Yep. There’s a method to the madness. So I’ll just pretend that you care and show you Face Rockery’s weekly schedule:
- Monday - New Comics YAY!: I review my new comic books in the geekiest way possible.
- Tuesday - I write about whatever crap I can think of.
- Wednesday - Midweek Showcase: I feature an interesting image or video from the wonderful world of comics and pop culture.
- Thursday - Face-Rocking Covers: I make fun of face-rocking comic book covers which I previously did on Fridays.
- Friday - Comics News Roundup: Pretty self-explanatory, eh?
So yeah, I’m a nerd. Shut up.

Seriously, PLDT should be the poster company for bad service and customer experience. I hate them too! But the goddamn corporation monopolizes the telecoms industry from Smart (which unfortunately is my provider) and Budget Card (which I frequently use to call my girlfriend overseas). :(
