Last December, I signed up for an account at My Journal Philippines. I posted a couple of non-sense articles on my MJP blog, and I don’t think I won’t be able to update it in the foreseeable future. God knows I’m having a hard time right now updating this blog.
On that note, I’m going to post one of my stupid articles from my MJP blog here. Why? Having a hard time blah blah blah.
I wrote this piece after my first night out for 2007. I went out with several college friends, and we had a great time at Metrowalk. Where there’s electricity. See, during that time, we had no electricity at the apartment. One of the reasons why I went back to commuting from Sta. Rosa to Ortigas and back every freakin’ day. We’re still in the first quarter, but 2007’s memorable already.
So anyway, here it is. It’s in Tagalog. And it’s corny. But whatever.
Liwanag Sa Bagong Taon
May mas mabuting paraan pa ba sa pagsisimula ng bagong taon kaysa sa pagsasaya sa piling ng mga kaibigan?
Sa bawat hithit ng sigarilyo ay paglanghap ng bagong pag-asa.
Sa bawat lunok ng serbesa ay pagnamnam ng tunay na pag-ibig.
Sa bawat halakhak at ngiti, bulong at titig, lumiliwanag ang gabing madilim at malamig.
Lumiliwanag ang mundong puno ng mga pagkakataong hindi inaasahan.
Lumiliwanag ang mukha ng mga tala.
Sa paghigop at paglanghap ng kapeng mainit, isang ngiti ang bumabalot sa aking mukha.
Masaya dahil sa liwanag na dala ng mga kaibigang bago at luma.
Masaya dahil sa simpleng alay ng liwanag.
Lalo na’t dahil kinuha ng Meralco ang aming metro at pinutulan kami ng kuryente.
