If you're new here, you may want to add some dickery to your feed reader by subscribing to my RSS feed. High five!
Admit it, we’ve all made huge mistakes in the past. There were things we’ve done that we wish we have never even thought of doing. There were evil moments that we wish didn’t come to pass. We all have life bloopers that we don’t want to be included in our biographical DVD. What, you’re not planning on making a biographical DVD when you hit 40?
Life would be so much easier if there’s a cosmic “undo” button ready to be pushed whenever we say “d’oh!“, but unfortunately, there is none. Well, actually, there is, but only God has access to it. And I don’t want to argue against that injustice, especially with a dude who can manifest himself as a burning bush.
But there are some things in life that we can undo. Case in point: the death of TechTV. It was God’s gift (well I’ll be damned, he’s not so selfish after all) to geeks. A tech-centric TV network that wasn’t afraid to embrace all things techie and geeky. A safe haven for both tech-savvy people and curious tech-n00bs. But alas, it was taken away from us too soon. Fuck it, it’s time to undo this injustice! Enter: UndoTV.

UndoTV is a content sharing site founded by two TechTV alumni: Chris Pirillo and Leo Laporte. I fondly remember these guys from the Call for Help and The Screensavers shows. They introduced me to Friendster and a lot of cool and free applications that can make my PC run faster and better. The best advice they gave me was to switch to a Mac. I was still in college so I just daydreamed that I made the switch.

With UndoTV, these two guys and a horde of former TechTV staff, previous show guests, and close friends will be the initial talent base. Soon, the whole community will basically be the lifeblood of the site. Community members can contribute videos, audio, photos, and text. They can also give kudos to content that they think rule. The thing that separates UndoTV from other content sharing sites? They will only accept original content. So save your clips of Family Guy and Eat Bulaga for YouTube, ass.
With the emergence of UndoTV, we get a geekified YouTube, and more! Well, actually I’m not really sure if UndoTV’s content will be unique enough to set it apart from other content sharing sites out there. I’m not even sure if this will “undo” the death of TechTV. I’m being too melodramatic.
Honestly, I just posted this article to brag. See, UndoTV is still in early beta. The membership is still “by invitation only”. Guess who just got his invite? Yeah, me, motherfathers! I sooo feel I’m a part of the geek elite right now. That is all.

Oh, lucky you. I signed up to beta test UndoTV, but I’m just one of many in the long queue waiting to get their invitation codes. :( Too bad, since I’m a Software Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst by trade.
I loved TechTV. Great distraction… to procastinate from doing my job. LOL.
Actually, I’ve already forgotten that I signed up with them. I think that was a couple of months back. It was an addiction for me at the time to sign up for websites and software that were still in private beta. I’m also one of the lucky ones to be given an invite for Kongregate.com which is wicked cool. They’ve opened user registration already. More distraction for you.
