I’m settling in my new job quite nicely. Well, actually it’s not new anymore. I’ve been there for almost 2 months now. I’m also getting a hang of living in the big city, traffic hell and all. But it still feels like I’m in a transition stage. Everything just feels so new. Horizons getting bigger. Old limits fading away, new limits popping up from nowhere. It’s fun! With this transition stage, I feel I also need to move forward with this blogging thing. Thanks to the people of the Pinoy Blogoshpere Yahoo! Mailing List, I’ve found a new kind of hunger for blogging. And this hunger drove me to create another blog, Baddieverse. And what will happen now to LongBox? It’s time to re-imagine it. It’s time for an era to end. It’s time for Volume 2.
LongBox is now a comics-centric blog. I’m going to let my inner comic book geek talk about comics, movies related to comics, TV shows related to comics, comic book industry news, comic book and graphic novel reviews, and everything else there is to blog about sequential art. Baddieverse will contain my usual stupidity. Hehe.
For my usual (yeah right) visitors, you may have noticed a few changes on the side bar. I added an “About” link that will bring you to the “About” page (duh) which will explain a little what LongBox is all about. I also updated my profile page (“Publisher”). It’s now weirder and more stupid than before. There’s also a new page called “The List” which features my current pull list. What’s a “pull list”? It will be explained in due time. Around the same time you visit that page. I also added a “Contact” page. Just in case, you know, you want to contact me and stuff. And finally, I removed the tag board. It attracts vandals.
This is going to be the western comics culture through the eyes of a Filipino comic book geek. This is the comic book life, Pinoy-style. This blog will eat, breathe, and live comics. This is LongBox Volume 2. Excelsior!
EDIT: 12.10.06 – I changed my 6-month old theme and layout. A new direction for the blog deserves a new look. Lame, but new.
